St Johns, Johnsonville and Holy Trinity, Ohariu
We have had another fantastic year this year with mainly music. We have so many regular families coming on both Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and as we have the older children leaving to go to school, or swap days at kindergarten, we have a steady influx of siblings and new families all the time. Tuesday morning sessions have grown from 9 families to 16, and Wednesday mornings have gone from 22 to 11, hosting in total around 30 families between the two days, with 22 adults and 42 kids.
Although we have other free music happening in the community on Wednesday mornings, it is wonderful to see siblings and families returning every week to mainly music.
Both days are full on a weekly basis, and although we do not bring much money in from mainly music, we are doing such an amazing service to the wider community for the church as a whole: to 42 kids to be exact!
Areas of concern is the number of helpers on the two days: we are very tightly staffed, and have lost Jane Uys to full time work and Angie is picking up extra days of work this year as Phoenix is starting kindergarten. The wonderful helpers every week are so appreciated and keep the wheel turning so swiftly. Ben is a hit on Tuesdays, and the lovely John, Margaret, Sudharshini, Vicki, Nicola and Lisa are vital for this to continue to do so well. We have a few parents offering help, but we do need to formalise the rolls to ensure consistency.
