This Year’s Lenten Study

For Lent this year as a parish we are looking to deepen our understanding of discipleship.

A fantastic resource has become available, developed here in New Zealand through the Diocese of Christchurch, which draws spiritual and intellectual insights from Matthew’s Gospel (the Gospel for the current lectionary year).

Being Disciples: Through Lent with Matthew will run for six weeks on Thursdays in the church hall starting at 7.30pm on 13 March and will be led by our vicar Ben. There is no cost in taking part, but for catering and planning purposes please sign up on the clipboard on the back table at church or email the office.

Stop press!

St Michael’s is also doing the Making Disciples Lenten study too, but on Friday mornings at 10am. If you would like to join them email vicar@smn.org.nz.
We currently have 36 people coming on Thursday nights to learn about Discipleship through Lent!!!!! but there is still room for you too. Sign up sheet on the clip board at the back of church
