The Tuesday evening bible study group has started up again, meeting at 7.30pm in the Hunter Lounge. The group will follow through and reflect on the Eastertide readings. All welcome.
Friday, 17 May, 7–8pm in the church. Violinist Yid-Ee Goh, pianist Rachel Thomson. Come along and share in some music, food and drink. Suggested donation $20 waged, $5 unwaged; children free.
The Men’s Group will meet on the evening of Friday, 31 May in the hall. Details will follow; for now, note the date in your diaries.
There is a draft of the roster from 19 May through the end of July at the back of the church. If you perform any rostered duties, please check the draft roster and note on it any scheduled duties that you can’t take. You can also tell Katie by contacting her at 973-1729 or email@example.com. There are two new duties listed on the 10am roster: data show (slides) and supervising children during the service. If you can help with either duty, please put your name down.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are not able to provide tax receipts on Sunday as we had planned. We will put them at the back of the church as soon as possible.
The Vicar-elect, the Reverend Ben Johnson-Frow, will be instituted by Bishop Justin on Sunday, 28 July, though he will begin working in the parish in July for a time that overlaps Alister’s ministry here.
Please keep Ben, Terri and their children Jakob and Breanna in your prayers as they prepare for this move.
The AAW invite any knitters to join us in knitting a scarf or pair of slippers for KidsCan Charitable Tust for children in decile one or two schools. NO plain red or plain denim blue scarves or slippers please.
Wool used is 12 ply, or double knitting using two strands. There are patterns at the back of the church. Please help if you can. I have discussed with Knit World, and plan to take the scarves or slippers in to them on Friday 7th June. Contact Toni Finkle 478-9201.
